A spoken, back-and-forth practice conversation with Tankey playing the Home Office officer. It follows up on what you say, the way an officer would, then shows how the run scored. Built for Nepali students applying for the UK Student visa.

The UKVI interview is the interview the Home Office may hold as part of your Student visa application, after your university has issued your CAS. A Home Office caseworker must be satisfied, on the balance of probability, that the applicant is a genuine student. Interviews can be held by telephone, or arranged by email or phone for a set time and place.
The Home Office guidance tells caseworkers to consider:
The caseworker must not refuse an applicant on genuineness grounds without interviewing them, except where an earlier refusal on those grounds stands with no change in circumstances or new evidence, or where many near-identical applications have been made and a sample of those applicants has been interviewed.
It is not the same as the pre-CAS interview, which your university runs before it issues the CAS. Our guide to the pre-CAS interview vs the UKVI interview sets the two side by side. Still waiting for your CAS? Practise your pre-CAS interview first.
You read a short phrase aloud and it is transcribed before anything is spent. The interview only starts once real speech comes back.
Tankey plays the officer and asks one question at a time, out loud. Your answer is transcribed while you speak, and the transcript stays one tap away if you mishear a question.
Where an answer leaves something unclear, Tankey follows up, and it moves on once the topic is covered. When your course details are known it can ask about them.
You get a practice score out of 10, with separate scores for content, communication and language. It shows how this practice run went, not how your real interview will go.
A UKVI interview practice uses one interview credit, from the same packages as the pre-CAS mock interview. Each credit is one UKVI interview practice or one mock interview.
