Why your city might not be listed
This page lists a city only when finduni.ai has an active IELTS centre there in its own system. A city without one is not listed, even if you have heard of a test centre there, because we would rather say nothing than point you at a centre we cannot book.
If your city is missing, message us or check the booking page for the nearest city that is listed. The list here is taken from finduni.ai's centre data when the site is built, and the city pages and the booking page show the current centres whenever you open them.
What happens at an IELTS centre in Nepal
Every centre runs the same test. In Nepal that is IELTS on Computer: listening, Reading and Writing are on computer, and Speaking is face to face with an examiner. Some students choose the Writing on Paper option instead, where listening and Reading are on computer, Writing is handwritten on paper, and Speaking is face to face with an examiner.
The test content, scoring and acceptance do not depend on which centre or city you sit in. The computer vs paper guide explains the two options in detail.
How to choose a centre
- Dates first: the nearest centre is only useful if it has a date that works for your deadline. Each city page marks which centres have dates open.
- Travel on the day: you need to arrive before the reporting time on your confirmation, so a centre you can reach reliably in the morning is worth more than one that is slightly closer.
- Your options for a second attempt: if you might need to resit, a city with more than one centre gives you more dates to choose from.
- Format: if you want the Writing on Paper option, confirm with IDP that your centre offers it on your date before you pay.
Booking a centre through finduni.ai
Choose your test, centre and date on the booking page, pay and upload your receipt, and finduni.ai confirms the booking. The IELTS test dates guide explains how dates fill and how far ahead of a deadline to book, and the IELTS price guide covers what you pay.
