The PTE fee in Nepal right now
These are the PTE rows live on finduni.ai's booking page right now. The official rate is what Pearson charges when you book with Pearson directly.
| Test | Official rate | Booked through finduni.ai |
|---|---|---|
| PTE | NPR 36,500 | NPR 33,000 |
Booking through finduni.ai costs NPR 3,500 less than the official rate. You pay finduni.ai, and finduni.ai books the same Pearson test for you.
Prices can change. The figure on the booking page when you book is the one you pay.
What the fee covers
The fee pays for one sitting of PTE Academic, taken on a computer at an authorised test centre. It covers every part of the test: Speaking, Writing, Reading and Listening, all in the same sitting.
- One seat at the centre and date you book.
- Scoring of your test by Pearson and your online score report.
- Your scores, which you can share with universities and use in visa applications that accept PTE Academic.
The fee does not cover preparation material, and a retake is a new booking at the fee in force at the time. Pearson's own preparation resources, free and paid, are listed in the PTE preparation guide.
What rescheduling or cancelling does to the fee
Pearson sets these rules, counted in full calendar days before your test:
- Rescheduling is free more than 14 days before the test, up to 6 times.
- Cancelling more than 14 days before the test gives a full refund.
- Cancelling between 14 and 7 full calendar days before the test gives a 50% refund.
- Inside 7 days, neither refund band applies.
For a medical or family emergency Pearson may, at its discretion, let you reschedule free of charge. There is no automatic right to rebook or to a refund. The full rules, and what they mean for a booking made through finduni.ai, are in PTE rescheduling and cancellation. If you booked through finduni.ai, message finduni.ai before you change anything.
How to book PTE through finduni.ai
- Open the booking page and choose PTE.
- Pick your city, centre and date. Each centre lists its own dates.
- Enter your name exactly as it is on your passport. Your booking details must exactly match your valid passport, and you show that passport at the test centre.
- Pay by QR transfer and attach your receipt. The finduni.ai team checks it and confirms your booking on WhatsApp.
Pearson needs a booking at least 24 hours before the test, so leave room for payment to be checked. Dates fill, so book early if you have a deadline: see how PTE test dates work in Nepal.
Getting the most from the fee
Most of the cost of PTE is the risk of sitting it twice. A few things lower that risk:
- Find the exact score your university or course needs before you book, not after.
- Take Pearson's scored practice tests before you pick a date, and book when you are consistently at your target. The PTE score conversion guide helps if your offer asks for IELTS.
- Book a date far enough ahead that a free reschedule is still possible if you are not ready.
- Choose a centre you can reach easily on the day. The PTE test centres guide lists the cities finduni.ai books in, such as Kathmandu.
